先週火曜日、RUBYに僕を観に来て下さった方々、そしてあの超満員のRUBY(凄い混雑でした)で、あの場で僕とDARRYL(またしても急遽参加！)ライブで盛り上がった下さった方々、ありがとうございました。
先日Twitterでも書いたのですが、RUBYのOPEN MIC NIGHTはリハもサウンドチェックもなくて、いきなりステージ上がってガツン！と演るので、その条件下で自分の意図した音を出すというのは、お客さんさんから観て実力がハッキリ分かるし、個人的にはスリルがあってとても楽しいのです。
しかもお客さんは(来てくださる方々以外)は知らない外人さんでいっぱいで
「ここよりずっと小さな場所で何度もイギーを観てる」なんて言う人も普通に居たり(先週火曜日に出会った。僕のライブを全部観たいと言ってくれた)、良い緊張感や世界の狭さを感じさせてくれる。
僕のライブに来るお客さんはRUBYのOPEN MICで出会い、僕の音楽を気に入ってくれた人達が近年は多い。
日本人も外人さんも。それは着実に増えていて本当に有難い。
媚は売らず徒党は組まず(ライブハウスでよく見かける、お客さんが殆ど居なくて、数組の対バン同士がお互いのお客さん状態？でフロアを埋めたりとか、僕はあんなのは嫌です。後で出演者同士SNS上で褒めあったり、傷の舐め合いだし、未来が無い。じゃれ合っていないでちゃんとお客さん呼ぼうよ！て思う。)、地味に地道に自分のやり方を信じて演って来たのですが、それは間違っていないと最近確信しています。
年内にソロのワンマン(昨年は怪我で予定されていたのが消滅)を演る予定です。
途中休憩(皆さんのドリンク購入やトイレタイム？)を挟んでの第1部、第2部に分けた2部構成での演目で、第2部ではゲストミュージシャンの参加とあると思います。壁には過去のデザインや写真を貼ったりするかも。
そんなわけで(無理やり纏めます.笑)ソロワンマンも含めて、今後をお楽しみに！
